Louise Owusu-Kwarteng

Dr Owusu-Kwarteng is Programme Leader in the Sociology and combined honours degrees at the University of Greenwich. Louise has been teaching Sociology for 13 years, and general and Business English as a second language in Madrid. Her position also involved managing Business English teachers, and before that has undertaken roles in local government, including community development and participation, and in Central government. She worked in the Community Cohesion Unit at the Home Office, with key government advisors, including Ted Cantle and Labour peer, Paola Uddin to produce a policy paper on methods of increasing participation in political leadership for under-represented communities. Louise has also worked with young people who were disaffected from school in Nottingham.
